Madeline Wang
A mentor of mine once told me that we always think they want us, but there are millions of “us.” If you’re given an opportunity, say yes - don’t wait for validation or recognition. Getting your foot in the door and putting everything you have on the table so far is enough; recognition comes later. With hard work, you’ll grow. My dream is to direct a film/documentary that I’m proud of someday - I want to have the skills to share empathy with those who trust me with their stories.
Originally from the SF Bay Area, I attend Chapman University’s Dodge College of Film and Media Arts studying Broadcast Journalism and Documentary! I consider myself a student documentarian/photographer/journalist yearning to share underrepresented stories through visual media. After all, I’m proud of the work I’ve put on this portfolio and I can’t wait to keep updating y’all on future artistic adventures to come.
